Jean Claude Palcowski's biography

 
Jean- Claude Palcowski regularly visits big areas. One November evening, in Moscow he embarked for Beijing aboard the Trans-Mongolian train. But, it is some time later, on the way to Compostelle, that he is writing down the first lines of this story whose ending will take place on the mysterious "Baïkal Amour Magistral", the fast train from the Siberian Far-East

My father, (wearing a beret on the photo) left Trzebownisko, the village of his birth in the South East of Poland on the 18th of June 1930. This picture was taken, in the early 1950's, whilst he was working for the institution of supervised education in Brecourt, near to the Adam Island and Valmondois, one of the towns where, Maurice Saint-Honore, one of the characters in “Taïchet” will stay. The man holding on to the harnessing of the tip cart was called Lucien Domalain. A pupil was holding me in his arms.

In the north of Nice: The Pelens spires, near to Entraunes, the peaks traveled over by some migratory wolves who peddle the memory of « Uncle Joseph », a teacher at the Russicum school in Rome, who became a « Poacher » on the borders of Russia and North Korea.
Like Attielski, one of the characters in « Taïchet », I climbed The Cervin, a first for the Samoan mountain guide, Jacques Martin, who will lead me towards other summits !

Moscow that I left 5 days beforehand is 700 kms away. The different Trans-Siberian trains, The Rossia, The Turk-Dib, The Syberiak, The Trans-Mongolian trains..., not luxurious, but like our Corail trains, the common mode of transport for the Far-East Siberian people...
